Responsible gambling
Need help now? The National Problem Gambling Helpline is free and confidential: 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738, call or text, 24/7) or chat at ncpgambling.org.
Gambling should be entertainment you can afford. If it stops being fun, stop and talk to someone.
Warning signs
- Gambling with money you need for bills, or borrowing to gamble.
- Chasing losses.
- Hiding gambling from family or friends.
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut down.
- Gambling affecting work, studies or relationships.
Set limits before you play
- Decide a budget and a time limit in advance, and stop when you reach them.
- Never treat a bonus as free money: wagering requirements mean you must bet many times the bonus before withdrawing.
- Use the operator's tools where available: deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. Availability varies by operator, so check before you sign up.
About the operators on this site
Many of the operators we review are offshore and are not licensed by US state regulators. They are not connected to state self-exclusion programs, and disputes are not handled by US regulators. If you live in a state with legal online gambling, state-licensed operators offer stronger protections, including state self-exclusion lists.
