Premier League Darts returns this Thursday, live from the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff. We’ve looked at the matches and picked out our best bets for the evening, with an acca boosted from 12/1 all the way out to 14/1.

Michael Smith -1.5 Hcp – 20/21
Michael Smith (8/15) had a really tough assignment on night 1, where he came up against a fired up MVG, who had World Championship revenge on his mind.
Night 2 looks a lot easier for Bully Boy, with the out of form Jonny Clayton (6/4) up first and then a potential semi final against Aspinall/Wright.
Clayton’s scoring and finishing has looked way off in recent weeks and I’d be surprised if he wins three or more legs against the world #1.
Nathan Aspinall +1.5 Hcp – 5/6
Nathan Aspinall (7/5) had a decent start in week one of the Premier League, beating an out of sorts Gerwyn Price, before losing to an inspired Chris Dobey in the semis.
Thursday night sees him up against another out of form ex-world champion in Peter Wright (4/7), who also succumbed to Dobey in week one.
Aspinall with 1.5 legs start looks the smart bet here, with Wright struggling with his doubles.
Chris Dobey +1.5 Hcp – 10/11
The man of the moment, Chris Dobey (6/4) takes on Gerwyn Price (8/15) in the third match of the evening.
After earning his place in the Premier League with the Masters win, ‘Hollywood’ continued his winning streak with a win over Michael van Gerwyn in the final at Belfast.
With Price looking shaky and vulnerable in front of huge crowds and Dobey on fire, I was almost tempted to take him on the outright, but have hedged my bets a little with the 1.5 handicap bet.
Michael van Gerwyn -2.5 Hcp – 10/11
The last quarter final sees MVG (3/10) taking on Belgium’s Dimitri Van den Bergh (5/2), in what looks a little bit of a mismatch.
Dimi beat Jonny Clayton 6-4, before losing by the same score to van Gerwyn in the semi, in Belfast.
MVG averaged over 106 compared to Van den Bergh’s 91, however and if those averages are similar in Cardiff there’s a chance we could see a blowout for the Dutchman.
Night 2 winner Michael Smith – 10/3
With a relatively comfortable looking draw for Smith, I can see him making the final at least here and then it will depend on who he comes up against. At 10/3 I like the value on offer.
