I kick off my rides at Doncaster on Thursday with One More For Luck in the 2-Y-O Stakes (2.00pm). He’s a big price but ran over a trip that was too sharp last time. An extended six furlongs should suit much better and hopefully he can run into a place
Dubai Jemila goes in the May Hill Stakes (2.35pm). She improved massively from her debut to her second run but that was with help of stepping up in distance. She steps up again to a mile and that could help her improve again. It’s a really hot race and plenty of the others have form at Listed/graded level already, but hopefully she can outrun her odds.
Spangled Mac looks a good ride to have picked up in the seven-furlong handicap (3.45pm). He completed a four timer this summer and now goes off a career high mark. He was never really involved at York last time but going back up to seven furlongs may just help.
Ehrmann is my final ride of the day in the five-and-a-half-furlong handicap (5.28pm). This is his first run since a wind op which will hopefully help him. I’ve ridden him previously on very soft ground, but he seems versatile ground wise. Hopefully he can run well in what looks another wide-open handicap.
