The Karamba Casino App in Test
Playing for real money on the go is becoming more and more important. So it's not surprising that Karamba now also has an app for the smartphone and tablet. In this review I would like to take a closer look at the requirements for the software. Besides the scope of the application, the design and functionality of the application will also be discussed. At the end you will not only get an evaluation and an overview of my experience with the Karamba App, but I will also compare it with the other online casino apps for iOS and Android. This way you will know at the end if the application is really worth using.
The Karamba App
The QR code will take you immediately to the mobile site. The so-called web app, which is started via the browser of the respective mobile phone, offers all games and functions required for a good casino atmosphere.
What does the casino app do?
The range of games on the mobile device
While there are more than 860 games in the desktop version, the majority of the titles have made it into the web app. Surely the lion's share is made up by the slot machines, which is quite common in this industry. Fortunately, however, there is also a section with card and table games and even the live streams can be watched via the app from Karamba Mobile Casino. If you're looking for an overview of the real-time games, you should read my review of the live casino. As for the slot machines, I enjoyed classics like Thunderstruck II, Bloodsuckers, Gonzo's Quest or Piggy Riches. Regarding the table games, at least the Roulette Lounge, a VIP Blackjack and Jacks or Better Poker were waiting for me. You should therefore be able to find what you are looking for relatively quickly.
The live offer included all tables of the PC version. So you can try your luck at playing Baccarat, Roulette or Blackjack. Especially the different limits of the card game classic provide a good atmosphere. But also the immersive roulette, where the falling of the ball is shown again quite slowly in the repetition, speaks for the extensive offer of the app. Whether you are simply looking for slots or also table games – due to the large selection of games, the extensive web app offers a good mix for every customer. So there is not much to criticize in this area. Since both 3 and 5 reel machines are available, you can also get a whiff of the old casino school with slots in the design of the well-known one-armed bandits, if you want to.
I stayed at the Jimi Hendrix Slot for quite a long time. I am always very skeptical when it comes to slot machines of famous people or bands. Mostly there are only a few nice pictures, but the fun of the game falls by the wayside. In this area the slot machine surprised me very much and even helped me to get a bigger profit.
Usability and reliability
Since it is a web app, no download is necessary. You simply call up the page via the browser of your smartphone or tablet. The registration is very easy and done in a few minutes. However, I found it much easier to do on a desktop computer, so I recommend this procedure as well. Afterwards you are immediately logged in and can make your first deposit. I was positively surprised that all mobile casino games can also be tried out in demo mode. So you can get a first impression of the application.
The mobile site looks a little different than the PC version. Especially the navigation was a bit complicated. Through the favorites list you can quickly get to the preferred games. There are also separate menu items for slot machines, all games and the live area. The navigation is possible by moving the bar on top. I would have been happy about further divisions. For example, the Jackpots in a Flash Casino App has additional categories for 3 or 5 reel slots. So you can find what you are looking for faster. Therefore, the biggest point deduction from me at this point. If you are looking for a specific game, you can also go to the settings in the upper left corner and use a search mask. But for this you need the exact name. If you want to get an overview of what the application offers, this is of limited help. If you want to deposit or withdraw money, click on the appropriate button in the top right corner.
In addition to slot machines from the market leader NetEnt, Karamba Mobile Casino also offers software from Microgaming. The use of both slot applications is fun, although at Microgaming you have to be a bit lax in terms of graphics. This is not quite as good as with NetEnt games. But by using both providers there is a greater variety, which I evaluate positively.
Special Smartphone Bonuses
As you can also see from my review of Karamba's bonus offers, there is no separate credit for the mobile app. Nevertheless, you can at least use the welcome bonus of 500€ for blackjack and many slots. In addition, there are daily promotions for existing customers for a deposit, which can also be advertised and secured through the app. So there are many options to play with additional credits.
Deposit and withdrawal with the Karamba mobile app
Deposits and withdrawals are easily made using credit and debit cards Visa, Mastercard, Maestro Casino deposit and Entropay. There are also various online banking options such as instant bank transfer, Skrill, Giropay or Neteller. The prepaid payment system Paysafecard is also offered. This payment method, I have taken a closer look at my Paysafecard Casino comparison for you. In this area you can enjoy a relatively high level of comfort. But if you miss the popular payment provider PayPal, you have to look for another casino.
Compatibility and Downloads
At the moment there is a native app only for iPad or iPhone in the iTunes UK Store. For Android smartphones there is no downloadable application yet. Surely such a software would have its advantages, since design and layout are stored on the phone. Consequently, the data volume is reduced during use. If you don't want to do without it, you have to consider another casino. If you want to have an overview with the best native apps, you can take a look at my table for mobile application compatibility. There you will find the right application for iOS, Android, Blackberry or Windows.
All in all I don't think it's a bad thing that there is no downloadable software for the smartphone. The solution via the web app is also very good. So you don't have to worry about compatibility. You just call up the website with the browser of your phone. I have tried it myself with an iPhone, the Samsung Galaxy, a Nokia Lumia and the Blackberry. The homepage was displayed without any problems and due to the responsive design the appearance automatically adapted to the respective display sizes. Surely an application that can be started immediately via an icon on the screen of the smartphone would be nicer, but since the mobile site works well, it is only a small flaw.
Conclusion: Many slot machines and an extensive live offer
The application convinces with many available slot machines and above all an extensive live area. Besides the classic slots, card and table games are also offered. I was particularly pleased that the web app can be used so reliably and offers many deposit and withdrawal options. The same options are available at live tables as in the desktop version. At this point I was very positively surprised and can only praise the Karamba Mobile Casino. Most other providers restrict the mobile live area much more.
