Formula E testing given green light after fire investigation

Formula E testing will get back underway in Valencia after
investigations into a garage fire earlier in the week was
concluded. The all-electric World Championship began its first test
ahead of the new season in Spain earlier this week but the opening
day was cut short after a fire in the Williams Advanced Engineering
garage, where a battery exploded before igniting. Day two of the
test was cancelled with one person taken to hospital for
precautionary checks, before bing discharged without treatment. A
statement from the FIA confirming running would resume read:
“Following the incident that happened on Tuesday and subsequent
investigations, the FIA has authorized Formula E pre-season testing
to resume today from 2pm CET. “The investigations and findings
provided by the technical suppliers and reviewed by the FIA confirm
that it is acceptable for on-track activity to go ahead. Pre-season
testing will now continue through Friday. “An updated on-track
session schedule will be distributed soon.” The investigations and
