For most of us, the Wrexham vs Sheff Utd game was the one we wanted to watch on fourth round weekend. I know Manchester City and Arsenal face-off but this one had all the potential to be an FA Cup Classic and boy we weren’t disappointed. Both teams played well and the second-half was one of the most exhilarating 45 minutes of football that we’ve seen all season. The replay has a lot to live up to but a home tie with Spurs awaits the victors.
Wrexham score plenty of goals. We’ve already seen it in the cup having scored those three against the Blades along with notching up four on the road at Coventry in round three. They also put three past Oldham in round one and Farnborough conceded four times in their second round encounter. So in every FA Cup game, Phil Parkinson’s side have scored at least three times.
In the League you have to go back to December 3 when they didn’t hit the back of the net at least twice. I know Sheff Utd are on a completely different level to what they’ve faced most of the season but you know they won’t go up to Bramall Lane and try to sit back. Wrexham will go out and attack in what could well be a rip-roaring encounter.
This is why the 11/4 for the Red Dragons to score two or more just jumped off the market page for me. Wrexham have three players in double figures for the season already and I think they’ll give as good as they get on Tuesday night. The 11/4 comes out at 26.7% for the implied odds and I really think the Disney+ stars have a much better chance than that of scoring at least two.
