For Saturday we have put together a 22/1 fivefold as we try to pick the results of all five 3PM games from the Premier League… Football Accumulator Here !
Football Accumulator Tips – Saturday 4 February 2023
- Back Leicester to beat Aston Villa at 11/4
- Back Brentford to beat Southampton at 9/10
- Back Brighton to beat Bournemouth at 1/3
- Back Manchester United to beat Crystal Palace at 4/11
- Back Liverpool to beat Wolves at 5/6
- Overall Odds 22/1
We’ll start off this write-up looking at the shorter prices and work our way towards the longer shots. Everyone can see that Brighton (along with Fulham) are the revelations of the season. The only team to turn them over since Christmas were top of the table Arsenal but aside from that, they’ve beaten Liverpool twice, gone on the road to beat both Southampton and Everton along with a credible draw at Leicester. Bournemouth make the short trip (as the crow flies – going around the River Solent is actually quite the detour) in poor form having only earned one point since Christmas – in a home draw with Nottingham Forest. Fancy Brighton to win this by two or three.
Manchester United have properly turned it around since CR7 was moved out of the club and fans should be extremely encouraged by what Erik ten Hag is building at Old Trafford. The Eagles stole what could be a vital two points from United in the reverse fixture a few weeks back and could well cause a problem for the home side. However having typed that, their home form has been scintillating in recent weeks so anything other than a home win would be a big surprise.
Now we start to get towards the trickier games to call and I think Liverpool are the toughest side to predict at the moment. They are clearly a shell of what they were 12 months ago with injuries and a lack of form showing their lack of squad depth. They did however go down to Molineux in the FA Cup and found a way to win the game with a heavily rotated squad. Klopp’s men have the quality and even though I flirted with the draw, I think they find a way to take all three points back to Merseyside.
Southampton have looked better under new manager Nathan Jones but away to Brentford is not an easy place to go – certainly not after a long trip to Newcastle where they put up a real fight but were never really in with the chance to pull off the upset. Three games on the spin the Saints have been playing in cup action so a return to league will be most welcome but the Bees have only played one game in the past fortnight rather than Southampton’s four. The home side have also beaten Bournemouth and Liverpool in their past two home games. Fresher legs, better team and playing at home. Give me Thomas Frank’s side.
Lastly we get to the upset pick of the fivefold as I reckon Brendan Rodgers’ side have a real chance to go to Villa Park and get the W. Neither team is particularly good but the addition of Harry Souttar from Stoke could be a real coup. The £15million man is considered to be a bit of a gem whose progress was slowed down by an ACL injury but getting him in will add quality to the backline. Harvey Barnes is a class act and these are just the types of games Leicester find a way to win. Aston Villa have clearly improved under their new manager but their only good win was at Spurs. Victories over Southampton and Leeds are not too much to write home about. Sometimes you just fancy a shock as you don’t get chalk every week in the Premier League.
