On Wednesday, Leeds and Manchester United played out a thrilling contest at Old Trafford which ended 2-2.
It was the first match Leeds played following the dismissal of Jesse Marsch and they looked like a team who had a point to prove against their great rivals.
This season has not been a problem for Leeds in terms of attacking with only Leicester having a better scoring record in the bottom half of the Premier League table in terms of numbers.
However, they have the fourth leakiest defence behind Leicester, Southampton, and Bournemouth and the Red Devils will look to exploit once again.
Erik ten Hag’s side will expect to win to close the gap to Manchester City and Arsenal but it won’t be easy and they haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet in five games.
Manchester City v Aston Villa – Yes @ EVS
Manchester City’s quest for another title is in the balance following a very disappointing 1-0 defeat at Tottenham last weekend.
Since the resumption from the World Cup, they haven’t looked quite like the same team, winning only four of their seven games.
However, they still look like creating up front and, at home, they have bagged 8 in 11 top-flight games this season.
Villa are a dangerous outfit under Unai Emery and although they were beaten 4-2 by Leicester last weekend, they did look good going forward.
In Emery’s eight Premier League games in charge so far, Villa have scored at least once in each of them and both teams have scored in six of the eight.
Villarreal v Barcelona – No @ 11/10
Barcelona continue to be the most impressive team in La Liga and are now eight points ahead of Real Madrid at the top after winning five games in a row.
A key factor to their success this season has been their extraordinarily miserly defence – La Blaugrana have let only seven goals go past them this season in La Liga.
They travel to Villarreal on Sunday with the Yellow Submarine sixth in the league and hoping to gate-crash the top four.
Goalscoring has not been in their repertoire too much this season with only 22 in 20 games.
They have lost each of their last two games and Barca should not have too many problems putting Villarreal to the sword.
Napoli v Cremonese – No @ 8/11
This game should be incredibly one-sided looking at the league table – Napoli are top having lost only once all season, while 21 games into their Serie A campaign, Cremonese are still seeking a first triumph.
Napoli have scored 51 goals in 21 games this season which is by far the best aggregate, while Luciano Spalletti’s side simultaneously hold the best defensive record too.
The away side have seen a few positive tests recently in the Coppa Italia, where they have advanced into the semi-finals, but this one should be an easy home win.
